the cowboy experience
Inside and outside, The Bay Mare offers beauty and rejuvenation. Inside, reclaimed timbers from the 1800’s, cathedral ceiling, exposed roof trusses all crafted by Heritage Woodworks invite you. The great room is where everyone lands first and tends to stay. There's a dining table that seats ten and a full kitchen with a propane range and electric oven. Cook your own meals or arrange a private chef to come out and prepare beef sourced directly from the ranch's cattle. The propane fireplace is there when the evenings cool down.
The bedrooms look out over the backyard. Quiet, framed western art on the walls, clean linens. Nestle in and relax. There is enough room for everyone.
The loft has the only television in the house, stream or cast when the weather changes. Or sit down at the chess table for a game with a friend. It's the kind of place where someone sits down after breakfast and doesn't look up until lunch.
The backyard is built to gather, appreciate the changing sky and is fenced for dogs to enjoy. The patio is furnished and big enough for everyone; there's a Blackstone grill if you want to cook outside. A refurbished grain silo gazebo welcomes you with a fire or cozy place for conversation. Corrals sit directly out front and open pasture runs behind the house with horses in it when the season allows.

The closest town is Sheridan and has so much to offer. Great restaurants, conveniences, museums, shops, parks, and activities. Sheridan hosts events and activities so unique to this area: a week long rodeo with Indian Relay races and community events, polo matches with world-class players, artist galleries and presentations, fantastic theater, outdoor concerts, farmers markets, street dances, and that is just the start. History is everywhere-battle sights, historic homes, Bozeman Trail Forts, dinosaurs and fossils. And then there is the mountains-for all the ways you can dream up to enjoy the meadows, rocks and mountain lakes. The only challenge is staying long enough to see it all!
